varied with a Crystal steam room, several saunas, and an aromatherapy room.

An ice room, plunge pool and a bucket filled with cold water were also on offer for the brave (I wasn’t one of them though).

The steam rooms and saunas had relaxing music, and varied in size ensuring any large groups could enjoy the experience together.

Underwater music was the main feature of the pool which was a great size for doing a few lengths.

An outdoor jacuzzi was also welcome experience with its hot bubbling water helping you forget its snowing and the middle of winter.

If you’re feeling really energetic and want to make the most of the stay, there was a very impressive gym. But relaxation got the better of us and we only admired it lounging by the side of the pool. Maybe next time.

Finally, the relaxation room which was my favourite. A large, darkened room full of blankets, pillows and sleeping bags and a warming fireplace. It was the epitome of relaxation – and clearly others agreed as there were a few people fast asleep – and snoring – in there. The 55-minute Decleor Pilates facial was just one of the many treatments on offer.

There are facials, scrubs, wraps, and even a mud chamber.

But the Pilates facial was an hour of pure bliss. The anti-ageing treatment boasts naturally ‘lifting, remodelling and redefining facial contours’. The aromatherapy oils used by the beauty therapist were incredibly relaxing – so much so that I actually fell asleep. By the time I had woken up from my 40 winks, my skin felt and looked rejuvenated, moisturised and glowing.

From the name of the facial I was expecting more of an energetic facial – but it was relaxing and not a gym mat in sight. The plates looked incredible with delicately placed colourful meals served in the spa’s own restaurant. There were so many options and even several vegan and vegetarian options. Every diet is catered for and the kitchen which is right next to the seating area shows the passion the chefs have for creating Spa breaks from £129 per person. Simply Spa includes: Overnight accommodation in a serviced apartment; Leisure Club; Titanic Spa Heat & Ice Experience; 15m salt regulated swimming pool with Hydrozone and underwater music; Continental breakfast in your apartment; Light lunch and two-course evening meal

This was the icing on the cake for the stay; a luxury apartment complete with living room, kitchen, ceiling to floor windows overlooking the countryside and two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Being pampered all day, fed beautiful plates of food and sleeping in the plush apartment made us feel like we were living the rich and famous lifestyle; it was fun for a few days but then, sadly, it was back to reality.
