and oversees the university’s teaching and learning strategy. She also works closely with schools and services to secure an excellent student experience and works with registry to ensure the quality of the university’s provision.

She is a board member of Go Higher West Yorkshire, a member of national awarding organisati­on CERTA’s access to higher education committee, chair of the Dewsbury Learning Trust, chair of the Education and Training Foundation’s advanced teacher status steering group and a member of its expert panel on profession­al standards and workforce developmen­t.

Dr Grainger is responsibl­e for the central teams that look after the university’s public relations, website, printed publicatio­ns, digital marketing, alumni relations and student recruitmen­t.

Her additional qualificat­ions include a Master’s in Business Administra­tion and a Diploma in Marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). She is also a Fellow of the CIM.

Dr Grainger is a member of the governing body at Calderdale College and represents the university on the board of the local community foundation, One Community.

As Companions of the CMI, they join university vice-chancellor Prof Bob Cryan, director of estates and facilities Colin Blair, director of finance Andrew McConnell, deputy vice-chancellor Prof Tim Thornton and Prof Liz TownsAndre­ws, director of research and enterprise.
