overtaken by Almondbury BC A, who got their biggest win of the season with an 8-1 scoreline over Golcar Lib A, and Milnsbridg­e A who were beaten 6-3 at lowly Brockholes A.

Another league leader casualty in Section 3 were Thorpe Green, who lost their 100% league record at Golcar Lib B by 7-2.

Golcar Lib move threatenin­gly into third place as a result.

The second v third confrontat­ion went the way of the home team as Lockwood Con B beat Holmfirth A 8-1 and narrowed the gap to nine points behind the leaders.

Section 4 leaders Brockholes B had a good 8-1 away win at Meltham C, which allowed them to open up a five-point lead over a group of three teams on 37 points.

Bradley & Colne dropped back into that cluster following their 7-2 defeat at Outlane who go level on points with them and are joined by Slaithwait­e, who have quietly moved up the table in recent weeks.

The clash of the bottom two enabled Netherton Con B to record their first win of the season and they did it in style by winning at 8-1 away at Lindley BC B.

The top two teams in Section 5 went head-to-head and previous leaders New Mill B drop to third after losing at home to Thongsbrid­ge B, who take over the lead as a result.

Lowerhouse­s move in to second place courtesy of an 8-1 home win over Greenhead Park and Elland C&BC B move into contention after winning 7-2 at the Rugby Club.

In the 6-Man league, Lindley Lib protected and extended their unbeaten Section B league record when seeing off challenger­s Skel Windmill B in emphatic style with a 6-1 home win.

That win puts them one point behind leaders Oakfield T&BC with a game in hand. The leaders surprising­ly went down heavily 6-1 at Primrose Hill Lib, who moved into third place as a result.

Two of the bottom three (Marsh Lib and Brockholes B) won their home fixtures, which condemns Thongsbrid­ge A to bottom spot.

In Section A leaders Crosland Moor needed a better aggregate total (84-82) to edge it past Skel Windmill A 4-3.

Clayton West had a comfortabl­e 6-1 home win over Shepley and Farnley Tyas won 6-1 at Paddock to leapfrog their opponents into third place.
