Dentists all smiles with private clinic
A dental group with practices across Yorkshire is building a new private clinic in Huddersfield.
ASR Dental’s new clinic at Thornhill Road will provide restorative and cosmetic treatments as well as dental implants.
The company has also acquired NHS dental group Yorkshire Smiles with practices in Leeds and Barnsley. It plans to hire 10 new employees across both sites.
Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking supported the expansion with a multi-million-pound loan.
Dr Altaf Hussain, director at ASR Dental, said: “Our latest growth drive, including our first new-build surgery, is a huge milestone for the group. We’ve steadily acquired practices around Yorkshire since we began in 2004 and have ambitions to – ultimately – run practices across the north of England.
“But, it’s important to us that each of our practices are run independently to help us give a personal service and to build lasting relationships with our clients.”

“Our latest Healthcare Confidence Index found that four in five dentists are planning for growth, with dentists remaining significantly more confident than the rest of the healthcare sector.” HE logo of Leisu Sports – which continues as Huddersfield Town’s Asian Media Partner in the new Premier League campaign – will appear on the left sleeve of the club’s home, alternate and goalkeeper shirts in 2018/19.
The partnership builds on Town’s success with front of shirt sponsor OPE SPORTS and will continue to help grow the club’s presence in international markets.
Town commercial director Sean Jarvis said: “We are really pleased to have developed the relationship with Leisu Sports into a second year deal, which will see them remain as our official Asian Media Partner as well as becoming our official sleeve sponsor for the upcoming season.
“This is another fantastic commercial deal for the Club and will continue to help put Huddersfield Town on a global platform in territories such as Asia.”
