Yorkshire Mafia brings back regular ‘huddles’

Every year, the YM brings together over 22,000 members from a diverse range of organisati­ons and industries, where the group focuses on the progressio­n and developmen­t of the Yorkshire region.

Taking place at Huddersfie­ld’s Cedar Court Hotel, organisers have upped the venue capacity from 265 to 300 seats for the charity Christmas lunch which will raise money for Orange Box young people’s centre, in Halifax, and Huddersfie­ld’s Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

It is hoped that this year’s event will surpass the £24,000 that the kindhearte­d business community raised in 2017, with money again set to be split equally between the two charities.

The funds from KACCL will go towards supporting The Orange Box Choir in Associatio­n with Square NE of Huddersfie­ld Town’s longest standing partners, Chadwick Lawrence, has extended its commercial partnershi­p with the club.

The law firm has strongly supported the Terriers in a number of ways over the years and have now committed to a three-year deal on a hospitalit­y box at the John Smith’s Stadium, which means they will be a box holder until at least June 2021.

Chadwick Lawrence – known as Yorkshire’s Legal People – has offices in Huddersfie­ld and across West Yorkshire. The firm offers various legal services to private and commercial clients and has enjoyed a significan­t period of growth over the past 12 months.

Commenting on the partnershi­p, Tracy Nelson, senior commercial manager, said: “Chadwick Lawrence has become one of the club’s closest partners since officially becoming a part of the Huddersfie­ld Town ‘family’ in 2008.”

Daniel Krigers a partner at the firm, said: “The Chapel, Orange Box Rock School music workshops and ‘Routes’ Youth Music Festival, which provides a platform for young musicians to showcase their talent on an open stage.

The business lunch event, which offers networking opportunit­ies for regional profession­als, will follow the same format as the previous two years, with a Prosecco reception, three-course lunch and entertainm­ent.

The event takes place at the hotel, in Lindley Moor Road, on Thursday, December 6 from 11.30am-3.30pm. Tickets are still available and priced at £50 per person for tables of 10 to 12 people.
