Classics line-up to go under the hammer
SOME 149 classics will be heading to auction tomorrow at the Warwickshire Event Centre in CCA’s penultimate sale of the year.
From fast Fords to fantastic Ferraris, the sale offers a huge variety of classics ranging from supercars to hot hatches. Highlights include a 1983 Ford Fiesta XR2 MK1 to a top of the line 2004 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti.
Also on offer is a rare 1968 Jensen Interceptor MK1 Manual (pictured right) estimated at £40,000 to £45,000. One of only eight surviving manual cars, this example was completely restored in 2012 and is finished in Anthracite with a Black leather interior.
Other British icons in the sale include five Jaguar E-Types, with both left and right hand drives, roadsters and coupes represented. Of particular interest is a 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 FHC, finished in Signal Red with a black leather interior, with an estimate of £30,000 to £35,000.

Fast Fords have a strong presence in the sale, highlighted by a 1983 Ford Fiesta XR2 MK1 estimated at £13,000 to £16,000. Finished in Caspian Blue with the iconic XR2 graphics, along with a Grey Cloth interior, this Fiesta has covered just 52,000 miles.

Another low mileage Ford in the sale is a 1987 Ford Capri 280 Brooklands with an astonishingly low mileage of just 15,185. One of only 1,038 cars built, this Capri is finished in Brooklands Green Metallic with a Raven Black leather interior piped in red..
Bringing the Italian exotica to the auction is a 2004 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti finished in a subtle shade of Nero with a tan leather interior. With just 38,000 miles under its belt this four-seater Ferrari has just had a full refurbishment and is estimated at £42,000 to £50,000.
At the other end of the scale, a 1969 Fiat 500 F will be offered with an estimate of £9,000 to £11,000. This rare UK supplied right-hand drive model has covered less than 1,000 miles since a ground-up restoration in 2011.
