Getting rid of Kirklees is way to help Huddersfield

-

Why oh why hasn’t something been done on that bridge? Anything that makes it more difficult or makes someone think again has to help. Don’t get me started on the need for improvements in mental health support and services. Stirling Moss, former racing driver, Des Lynam

broadcaster, Billy Bonds, former footballer and football manager, Damon Hill

former racing driver, Doug E Fresh, rap singer, Ken Doherty, snooker player, Mike Catt, former rugby union player, THERE is no such place as Kirklees.

It is not in any road atlas nor is it on any British Ordinance Map.

KMC is Kirklees Metropolitan Council, an administrative body.

Huddersfield is world renowned for the production of high quality products, any town would be proud of its heritage.

KMC is not renowned for anything but bad organisation and wasting money.

It is top heavy on management. Draw a triangle put “M” (manager) at the top and “W” (workers) at the bottom; this is a typical management structure.

Now turn the triangle 180 degrees, this is KMC management structure.

Too many chiefs and not enough Indians that get it in the neck from the public for the poor services.

Is it possible that KMC is the cause of Huddersfield Royal Infirmary closing, with Huddersfield not listed as a West Yorkshire town and having KMC in its place?

Four or five years ago when hospital cuts were first looked into, some Government researcher down in London will have clicked on KMC on Google Maps and numerous hospitals will have come up thinking we can afford to do without one or even two.

It might sound daft but probable. Google Maps are 44% inaccurate. My car is still in the drive of a house I lived in eight years ago. I now live in a four-bed detached house instead of the flat I live in, according to Google.

The only way to make Huddersfield a better place is to put the Huddersfield boundaries back and on the map, getting rid of KMC.

I was told KMC was a Labour creation. I came here in 1980 when I came out of the army.

Someone recently said to me: “There are no good MPs or councillors nowadays, some are just worse than others...”
