-

GOLCAR Seconds are celebrating the Jedi Sports Championship Two title and promotion to the Drakes Premiership Two for 2019.

The Swallow Lane side clinched the silverware with an eight-wicket home win over nine-man Moorlands, who were held at 79-8.

Louis Aspeling then hit 31 not out and Harry Gill 27 not out to seal the six points and keep them on top of the pile.

Delph knew they had to take six points at home against Shepley to stand any chance of closing the fivepoint gap and taking the title, and they duly obliged.

The Huddersfield Road side hit 243-8 with Jack Hague top scoring on 66 and Harry Partington hitting 55.

Shepley were then sent back for 140, in which George Booth finished 45 not out. Daniel Jones took three wickets.

Mirfield Parish took the Cedar Court Conference Two title ahead of Thongsbridge, picking up six points because Lepton Seconds conceded.

Thongsbridge, who were just a point back, were thwarted by the weather at Hall Bower, where there was no play.

Emley saved themselves from relegation to Cedar Court Conference Three by taking six points at Meltham.

Meltham totalled 148-6 in which Richard Brooke hit 75 and James Holder took three for 10.

Patrick Moors then saw Emley home with an unbeaten 55, Steven Whittaker adding 42 to secure a six-wicket win and condemn Almondbury to the drop. *Hoylandswaine B /6pnts/ 282 (J.Ashton 93, A.Burkill 82; C.Jakeman 4-44) Honley /0pnts/ 188 (C.Jakeman 27, B.Lindley 78*; J.Holmes 3-9, T.Zadran 3-23). *Birkby Rose Hill /6pnts/ 225 (A.Sharif 52, A.Afzal 30, A.Rehman 55; J.Woods 3-37) Holmfirth /0pnts/ 142 (N.Harris 46, M.Hellawell 50*; A.Afzal 4-7). *Delph and Dobcross /6pnts/ 243-8 (H.Partington 55, J.Hague 66, B.Tunnicliffe 26*; T.Goldthorpe 3-26, D.Netherwood 3-51) Shepley /0pnts/ 140 (P.Marsh 25, G.Booth 45*; D.Jones 3-25). *Rastrick /2pnts/ 171-8 Abandoned (D.Anderson 26, S.Singh 30, T.Stead 55, R.Hions 48; A.Geldart 3-12) Nortonthorpe /2pnts/ 173-2 Abandoned (L.Mohanasundaram 29, D.Chakravarthy 112*). *Edgerton & Dalton /6pnts/ 233-6 (U.Shabbir 55, A.Jamshed 32, H.Shujjat 71, J.Singh 31, A.Ansar 32; M.Sarfaraz 3-38) Almondbury /1pnt/ 181-6 (M.Sarfaraz 67*, D.Lucid 30).
