Man threatened with knife

A MAN was assaulted, threatened with a knife and spat at as he stood in his own front garden.

Police say the victim, in his late 20s, was in his garden on Southfield Road, Almondbury, on Thursday, October 11 at 2.30pm when the incident happened.

Two men passed his property and as they were doing so one of them spat at him for no obvious reason.

When he asked the offender to clean it up, the man refused and threatened him with a knife. No-one was injured in the assault.

The two offenders made off in the direction of Ings Road.

The first suspect is described as a white man around 24-25 years of ageand 5ft 5in tall. He had a goatee beard and was wearing a silver fluorescen­t Puffa-type jacket with a beanie hat on his head.

The second suspect is described as a mixed race man, around 24-25 years old with black hair, 6ft tall and was wearing a black hoodie and grey trousers.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything or have any informatio­n about the incident to come forward.
