Town star aaron is an inspiration

HUDDERSFIELD Town midfielder Aaron Mooy is proving to be an inspiration off the pitch – as his shaved head is helping a little girl battling cancer.

The girl – named Bella – lost her hair when she started chemotherapy treatment.

But in an Instagram post to Mooy, a charity which is helping support the young girl, said she had been inspired by his shaved head and now has a full Huddersfield Town kit with the Australian star’s name on the back of it.

In the message to Mooy, little_flower_ workshop, said: “A while ago when Bella first started chemo and lost her hair she saw a World Cup player for Australia who shaves his head and was so happy because he had no hair like her.

“His name is Aaron Mooy. I did some research and he plays in the Premier League with Huddersfield Town.

“Long story short, she now has the full kit.”

The post had more than 400 likes with fans quick to compare the two.

One wrote: “Wonderful story, beautiful girl. We sing a song for @aaronmooy – “He’s got no hair but we don’t care, Aaron, Aaron Mooy...”

“He never gives in, a real fighter and now Bella has the shirt and hopefully shares his strength. Best wishes to you all.”

But then Mooy posted a photo of Bella with two lovehearts and it had a whopping 6,000 likes.

One fan wrote: “This is the kind of person @aaronmooy is ... embodies the Aussie spirit.”

Another added: “You’re a legend, Mooy.”
