TOWN will once again feel aggrieved at the officials after the Liverpool match due to a number of decisions going against the Terriers.

Michael Oliver denied Town a penalty after Jonathan Hogg’s header struck James Milner’s arm in the box, with BBC pundit Garth Crooks claiming the former Leeds United man ‘practically caught’ the ball.

David Wagner’s men were also denied an equaliser thanks to an exceptionally tight offside decision given against Alex Pritchard, who neatly finished past Alisson before realising he had been caught by the officials.

Town have not been awarded anything by the officials so far this year, and have had to deal with some harsh decisions given against them too.

Hogg’s red card against Cardiff City and the soft penalty given to Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the season stand out in the memory. just how important he is creatively for the Terriers and why Town need to be getting the ball to his feet as much as possible in forward positions. YOU only have to look at the statistics from last season’s matches against Liverpool to see just how Town are playing this season. Last year they enjoyed just 25 per cent of possession against the Reds at the John Smith’s Stadium in January, after recording 27 per cent of the ball at Anfield three months earlier. At the weekend Town fought for possession of the ball and were brave with their 48 per cent share, looking to go forward and create chances rather than sit back and defend as we saw last term.
