THE clocks have gone back, the days are getting shorter and the nights colder - now would be a good time to jet off from Manchester to a warmer climate and soak up some sunshine.

EasyJet, Jet2.com, Thomas Cook Airlines and TUI have announced a range of deals on flights and sun-soaked holidays this winter, to a variety of destinatio­ns.

Manchester Airport has rounded up a selection of the deals available to Canary Islands and the Caribbean. CANARY ISLANDS With temperatur­es still in the twenties in November, the Canary Islands are the ideal place for a family holiday or a romantic getaway.

TUI is offering seven nights all-inclusive in Gran Canaria from £799 per person when booked online at the 4T+ hotel Suite Princess, or seven nights all-inclusive in Tenerife from £639 per person when booked online at the 4T+ Be Live Family Costa Los Gigantes.

Prices are based on two adults sharing in Gran Canaria, and two adults and two children in Tenerife, and include flights from Manchester Airport.

EasyJet Holidays also has deals to the Canary Islands, including seven nights at the four-star hotel The Mirador Papagayo in Playa Blanca on a half board basis, including flights, for just £306 per person.

Or, from £35 one way Jet2.com is offering 22 weekly flights to the Canary Islands this winter so there are plenty of flight and holiday options. BARBADOS From £449.99 return Thomas Cook Airlines is also ready to jet you off to the sunshine with return flights to Barbados from £449.99.

Temperatur­es in Barbados can reach 30C in November so it’s still sizzling throughout winter.
