Dream holidays left in tatters
Airdreams Ltd stopped trading.
The report says the company owes “approximately £90,971.75 for payments made for holidays which as a result of liquidation will not be going ahead.”
Shareholders will be asked to consider a resolution to wind up the company today.
One disgruntled customer, a businesswoman, said what had happened had left a number of families without holidays.
She said: “What is of particular interest is that the company only incorporated in July and went bust to the tune of £90k in September. The reasons for going bust was because she was not organised and too busy with customers.
“I suffered a £700 loss, a number of friends lost about £20,000, one in particular £5,000 who paid the weekend before she went bust.
“I came across Liz by recommendation. A number of people I know had booked with her. My disappointment is the out-and-out lack of engagement, paperwork and quickness to take the money.”
In a statement to the Examiner Ms Robb said: “It’s a dreadful situation in which I’m now totally powerless to help anyone concerned. If I could fix things moving forward then, of course, I would.
“It is being dealt with out of my hands now. All I wanted was to create amazing holidays for everyone, but I couldn’t make it work and I’m truly sorry that I let many people down, including many of my own friends, it hurts and I think it always will hurt.”
A spokeswoman for Poppleton & Appleby said they were unable to comment until after a meeting of shareholders today at which they were expected to be appointed liquidators.
