Calls for MP to visit town on a weekend after 11pm

This is in effect saying Huddersfield is a poor town and by the run down state of it, this is hardly surprising as this is the image it projects!
The survey also took into consideration, along with the takeaways, the number of empty shops in the town.
Apparently the takeaways and the empty shops combined, increase crime rates as they promote anti-social behaviour such as drug taking, vandalism and the congregating of criminals.
Does this not fall into what we already know of the number of fast food outlets, empty shops and the rising violent crime scenario in Huddersfield.
Our MP, who went on a walk about with one of our local radio personalities, says he only has good things to say about our town. I am informed the walk about took place in the early evening before the nightly debacle commenced!
Perhaps Mr Sheerman could again walk around the town, and maybe invite our councillors, this time after 11pm, preferably on a Friday or Saturday night!
He and the councillors could then give us their views about the town centre at this time of night?
The number of people who read about the dreadful happenings in Kirklees and give unfavourable comments is on the increase and I find it really depressing!
After a visit to the indoor market, which used to be the hub of Huddersfield, I was amazed how many stalls were empty.
Is this because of high business rates, high rents or a just don’t care attitude by our council? SO another effort by the Thandi brothers to make up for the destruction that they carried out on part of our heritage ie) the old Castle Hill pub.
After pulling down that old building, making the old Yorkshire stone and all the fittings disappear, they then tried to build a monstrosity that had nothing in keeping with the iconic Victoria Tower.
Then, in breaching planning laws, it had to be dismantled.
Now they want to build something that would be more in keeping in the space age.
If they can’t bring back something resembling the original building, never mind a fancy hotel, they should be refused permission as the council should be sending out a message that vandalism in any form does not pay.
They should not be allowed to profit from the destruction they caused.
