GIANTS STALWART HAS HIGH HOPES FOR SEASON IN TESTIMONIAL YEAR

-

The 2019 season promises to be a good year, not just for Lawrence, but for Huddersfield Giants as a whole.

Huge changes on the pitch, spearheaded by head coach Simon Woolford, have given hope to Giants fans. And Lawrence is excited about what 2019 can bring for Huddersfield.

He said: “We’re looking to make improvements in areas we can do, and areas we think that can help us next year, hopefully the fans will see that on the field come February.”

Lawrence also urges Giants fans to buy a 2019 season card and to take advantage of the early-bird discount.

He said: “Basically, grab the deal, it’s great value for money! We’re going to play a good and exciting brand of rugby.”

Also coming up soon is Lawrence’s testimonial match against Bradford Bulls, in which the Giants fanbase can show their appreciation for a player who has given so much for the club.

He said: “I’ve had my game confirmed against Bradford on January 13 (3pm), so I’m hoping the fans are able to come out for it.”

This game will also act as a pre-season match for Giants as they prepare to hit the ground running in 2019, something they have struggled with in previous seasons.

Giants begin their season at home to Salford Red Devils on Friday, February 1 and Lawrence believes that even now, two-and-a-half months from the beginning of the 2019 season, Giants will be ready to face Salford.

“All the boys are ripping in and are pretty excited for what we can achieve ahead,” he said.
