Where does Sheerman get his information from?

Halal slaughter is much more cruel due to the fact that the animal bleeds out rather than it being stunned. If you were to be there first hand and experience it you would know this. Slaughterhouses on the whole are in need of an overwhelming overhaul in the UK and much stricter regulation needs to be enforced. The mass farming of animals that’s taking place at the moment isn’t sustainable or correct on a humanitarian basis. Willie Carson, former jockey, Marg Helgenberger, actress, Frank Bruno former boxer, Steve Bould, coach and former Arsenal footballer, Diana Krall, singer and pianist, Paul Scholes, former footballer, Danny Wallace, actor, filmmaker and writer, Maggie Gyllenhaal actress, PEOPLE will be poorer and miserable after we leave the EU, says MP Barry Sheerman.

This statement is on a par with his comment, “better educated” voted remain? At the referendum 55% of Kirklees constituents voted to leave the EU.

That means that over half of the Kirklees electorate are poorly educated. Where does this man keep getting these little gems from?

It wasn’t two minutes ago he was informing the public through this newspaper that Huddersfield town centre was safe late at night to go about your business with no fear of others.

Mind you it was around 7pm with a police escort when he did his PR walk about. Later he states that all towns are alike when it comes to violence! So what’s it to be?

He recently stated that his constituents are moving towards a disaster for their living standards, health and everything else that touches their lives over the coming years after we leave the EU. Gosh, what a disaster! How do people such as Mr Sheerman know these things?

Over the decades he has represented our town he must have done something to promote and improve the quality of our town centre?

Or has it all been down to the EU, or could it be just down to the people along with our council? Better still, have things improved? He and other MPs who keep knocking our EU exit need to knuckle down and make our exit work for us all. WHEN is the Yorkshire Tiger bus company going to be brought to task over the running of their routes for the residents of Kirkburton, Denby Dale, Shepley and Skelmanthorpe?

Since introducing the new timetable we now have buses bursting at the seams, cancellations and worst of all none appearance of buses.

We rely on buses to get to work, and travel further afield, and this company is not providing the service we need. The elderly, frail and disabled are having to wait up to an hour in the cold and wet, for the arrival of a bus and then possibly have to stand for most of the journey.

Enough is enough, get it sorted soon and put back more buses on these routes where there is the demand.
