Town lost after all four international breaks.

All the matches were away from home, with 2-0 defeats at both West Ham and Swansea City, a 4-0 reversal at Bournemouth and a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United at St James’ Park.

Wilfried Zaha scored the winner against Town in this season’s first break, netting at the John Smith’s Stadium for Palace, while Mo Salah notched the winner for Liverpool in October.

Town play Wolves away after the current break, while in March it’s Palace away.

If Town don’t win in the FA Cup at the beginning of January, they will also have a break on January 26, after which they take on Everton at the John Smith’s Stadium. won’t be a shock me turning up. I have dealt with them and that makes it easier.

“The key thing is turning up and having a plan. You can’t just say we are taking your players. They are the clubs and we respect that.”

The Young Lions also travel to Esberg on Tuesday to play Denmark ahead of next Friday’s Euro 2019 draw in Bologna.

Derby’s on-loan Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is eyeing a second international trophy next year after winning the Under-20 World Cup in 2017.

Tomori was born in Canada and played three times for the Under-20s before making the switch in 2016.

“Up until Under-18s I hadn’t played for England or any country,” he said. “Canada gave me that platform to showcase myself.

“But just before the Euros I got called up by England so growing up in England and playing for Chelsea, I wanted to play for England.

“When that opportunity came it was difficult because I had already played three or four times for Canada.

“It was a difficult decision and I took a lot of time debating it but after that we won the World Cup so I think it was a good decision.”
