EU divorce costing £39bn and nothing to show for it

WHAT do we receive for our £39 billion divorce payment? Return of Sovereignty – fail; end freedom of movement – fail; end the transfer of vast sums of money to EU – fail; enable the UK to make its own unhindered trade deals, leave Customs’ Union, leave the Single Market, leave ECJ, leave the EU – fail fail fail fail fail.

Do we receive anything for our £39 billion? No ... but our PM delusionally thinks she’s/ we’re on to a winner.

The EU still owes us our repayments from our gross contributions for the last two or three years.

Plus they owe us billions of pounds for our investment in the EIB (European Investment Bank), plus our share of the assets that have been accrued with our money.

Theresa May was made PM for one reason ... destroy the voter mandated act of leaving the EU by making a coerced bad deal in an attempt to make staying in the better option.

She will not stand in another General Election as it’s not in the script.

David Davis was the then capable minister heading the negotiations to deliver on the leave mandate the government would be no cherry picking.

The UK will not have their cake and eat it. We all knew negotiations would be difficult, Theresa May has worked tirelessly to get a deal.

Obviously many in her party and in the country do not like what they are hearing.

Now the knives are out to finish her political career.

What a spineless set of MPs that surround her.

The EU do not want the UK to leave, and if any other EU country wishes to leave they will go through the same thing.

The UK’s gift to the EU will be 39 billion, mentioned by some. This is not legally binding.

As a country we should have stuck together and fought it together, but the spineless MPs have done the UK no favours.
