UDDERSFIELD is full of fantastic restaurants, but sometimes it’s just too much to leave the comfort of your sofa to eat at them. Thankfully, for the past two years, the people of Huddersfield have been able to order their favourite meals, from their favourites restaurants, straight to their door, courtesy of Deliveroo.

The food delivery company has been keeping tabs on the eating habits of their Huddersfield customers and can now reveal the town’s favourite dishes for 2018.

It seems people wanting to order in to the comfort of their own living room are particularly partial to a burger – two of them make the list.

Beyond the burgers, cuisine from Thailand, Lebanon and Italy make up the top five.

Another interesting statistic released by Deliveroo reveal that the most popular time for people ordering food in Huddersfield is at 6.13pm on a Saturday.

Here are the top five most ordered dishes... Deliveroo took more orders for Zinger Burger Meals from KFC than any other dish in 2018. For £5.79 you get the spicy burger, a regular fries and a regular drink - clearly a winning combination for the people of Huddersfield. Coming in at fourth on the list is The Parish Pub Stairway to Heaven burger. A 100% steak mince patty is complemented by bacon, hash brown, onion rings and cheese in a Proving that Huddersfield likes to keep it relatively simple where takeouts are concerned, the Papa John’s Margarita pizza - £11.99 for a large - completes the top five.
