In this week’s billiards matches there were 13 breaks of 25-plus recorded.

Top of the pile was Mathew Peaker, of Brockholes BC, with breaks of 79, 48 and 46 against Andy Middleton, of Berry Brow Lib.

Scott Lawton, of Milnsbridg­e Lib B, made a 41. Peter Stanyer, of New Mill A, had a fine 40 break, while John Bellfield, of New Mill A, had breaks 36 and 25.

Richard Walker, of New Mill A, registered a 30.

Mick Haigh, of Upper Hopton B, hit a 28. John Bowden, of Berry Brow Lib, had breaks of 27 and 26.

John Ingleby, of Moldgreen Lib, made a 26 and Steve Berry, of Milnsbridg­e Lib, B had a 25.

In this week’s Open Snooker League matches, with three outstandin­g results, there were 15 breaks of 25-plus recorded.

The highest break of the week came from Rob Armitage, of Marsh Lib B, with a splendid break of 51 against Glenn Wilkinson, of

Meltham Lib E. Lee Moseley, of Netherton Con B, made a great 37.

Robert Read, of Lindley Lib B, had breaks of 35, 31 and 27.

Roy Sutton, of Golcar RBL, recorded a 32, Conrad Norcliffe, of Lower Hopton, made a 31, Paul Watkins, of Lepton Lib A, registered a 30, and Austin Roddy, of Lepton Lib B, hit a 29.

Ian Hoyle, of Lepton Lib A, and James Burton, of New Mill A, both had a 28.

Neil Ewart, of Lower Hopton, made a 27, while both Mark Bentley, of Broad Oak BC D, and Dan Hennessey, of Top Spot, made a 25.
