HUDDERSFIELD University’s new School of Architecture & Design, the Barbara Hepworth Building near Firth Street, is surely an ugly building?

It’s ironic that this piece of monster Lego is supposedly where the next generation of architects and designers will learn “good practise”.

On the opposite bank of the Huddersfield Canal is the handsome old mill converted into the Maths department .

If the Architecture School had simply reflected the old mill (literally, with a new “mill” clad in dark mirror glass to reflect its neighbour’s attractive image) the university would surely have had a far more attractive new building on its campus ?

What kind of design brief (if any) does the university give to its building designers I wonder, or does it simply give them a free hand to come up with anything, regardless of the surroundings (now there’s something the architecture and design students might study)?

At least this freakish building WELL Mr Wagner, I have been watching HTFC for quite a number of years now and believe me the football played by HTFC is the worst I have seen for a long time.

What we need to do is spend less time on the feel good propaganda.

Look at things realistically and you will see that the tactics and formations are not quite good enough. AFTER years of disruption on the M62, only to find traffic jams still occurring on a regular basis, I too have begun to wonder just what is smart about a Smart Motorway?

I’m afraid its weakness is that,

A number of players bought by you and your director of football are not quite up to the job and, as for blaming the ref and bad luck, stand up please and take the blame yourself.

I have heard the term the season starts next Saturday earlier in the season. Could you tell me please which Saturday? THIS Christmas, treasured pets across the UK will be fighting for their lives.
