Soul destroying Town should go on the attack

-

Everything is so commercialised. Christmas, valentine’s day, mother’s/father’s day, Easter, Halloween and whatever else there is! It’s a trillion dollars industry and constantly bleeding money out of the masses! Baaaaah! THE story so far :

Mr Wagner arrives and saves us from relegation from the Championship. No mean feat.

Unbelievably, we then gain promotion to the Premier League. Fantastic achievement.

We survive against all the odds. A minor miracle.

Summer comes and we have make the grade. We had six widemen, none of whom were Premier League quality,

Our two central strikers are too slow for the Premier League, and neither of them have scored a goal.

The centre of our defence has regularly conceded very sloppy goals, eg Brighton, Bournemouth, Arsenal, Newcastle, Southampton etc etc.

Players who played above themselves last season have not been able to replicate that form this season.

We regularly use our right hand side to attack teams, but sadly Hadergjonaj cannot cross the ball to our players.

He also spends too much time on the ground with apparently career threatening injuries,

We won promotion with a negative goal difference, and failed to score a goal of our own in the play-offs.

We scored a pitifully low amount of goals last season, and will score even less this season.

Fulham away was just about our last chance to start turning things around.

But instead of going for it, we set up as if we were playing Real Madrid away.

Goalkeeper, six defenders, holding midfielder and a target man. That left us two creative players!

All this sideways, backwards and back to Lossl is soul destroying. In fact Lossl seems to have become our main attacking weapon.

Opponents have worked us out and are happy for us to have possession for 89 minutes as they know we will not do anything with it.

Our tactics and style of play are too defensive and cautious. Maybe Mr Wagner needs an attack-minded assistant to aid him.

Finally, no-one believes that “spirit, desire, passion, belief, and being independent of our circumstances” will keep us in the Premier League.

Quality will keep us there, and sadly we have very little. Possibly only five or six players in our squad are good enough to play in the Premier League.

Not Fooled

Not Blinkered

Just realistic
