Next season now... EMMA JOHNSON reveals the hottest spring trends that you can shop for straight away
THE awards season is well under way and this weekend saw Hollywood’s elite gather for the Critics’ Choice Awards, in downtown L A on Sunday evening.
Neutral tones were a big theme on the night with slinky dresses in white, pink, nude and silver.
Emily Blunt, 35, looked phenomenal in a floor-sweeping Prada gown, embroidered with glistening crystals around the neckline.
The actress – who missed out on a Best Actress gong for Mary Poppins Returns (it was a tie and went to
Lady Gaga for a Star is Born and Glenn Close for The Wife) – teamed her dress with a Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Model Chrissy Teigen effortlessly walked the blue carpet in a figurehugging, thigh-skimming frock, which was cinched in at the waist.
It was designed by Middle Eastern fashion house Maison Yeya, and was created by the label’s founder Yasmine Yeya.
Chrissy, 33, took the look up a notch with a slick of dark lipstick, Jaipur Jewels diamond earrings and a pair of muted-toned Stuart Weitzman sandals.
Meanwhile, Constance Wu, star of last year’s breakthrough rom-com Crazy Rich Asians, took the awards ceremony by storm in a Rodarte spring 2019 beaded and sequin dress.
The 36-year-old actress completed her look with a delicate Roger Vivier ‘Enveloppe Flap’ clutch and an elegant pair of Lorraine Schwartz earrings.
Proving you can still make an impact in muted-toned gowns, these A-listers were certainly the talk of the town.
