8-1 Raced wide in touch, pushed along halfway, weakened over 1f out, 6th of 9, 12l behind Matterhorn at Southwell 1m hcp 0-85 (4) fbs in Dec.

15-2 Led, ridden and headed 2f out, kept on one pace final furlong, 4th of 6, 2l behind Lucky Violet at Musselburg­h 1m flls hcp 0-85 (4) gd in Sep. 25-1 Mid-division, outpaced over 1f out, soon ridden, never a threat, 11th of 15, 6l behind Bezos at Pontefract 1m hcp 0-75 (5) gs in Oct. ONCE again the handicappi­ng contribute­d to a number of close finishes in the first round of the Royds Hall Printing Trophy, none more so than the single point victories gained by Woodfield Park B and Deighton G over Marsh Con B and U3A A respective­ly.

Last year’s winners, Deighton B, were trailing by 69 points with 2 sets to play in their match with Kingsmith Fountain Of Youth but the experience­d division one leaders managed to claw that back to go through to the next round with an eight points win.

Other narrow victories were achieved by Kingsmith Engineerin­g C over New North Road Baptist Church B (by 3 points), Deighton C over Scissett (by 9 points) and Greetland over New North Road Baptist Church A (by 12 points).
