Appeal over bike crash
MOTORCYCLIST, 20, INVOLVED IN COLLISION WITH CAR
A SERIOUS crash involving a motorcyclist and a car is being investigated by West Yorkshire Police.
Emergency services including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance were called to the incident on Huddersfield Road at Netherton on Saturday afternoon.
The collision involved a 20-year-old motorcyclist, police have confirmed.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said emergency services were called at around 4.15pm.
Police officers were still at the scene several hours later.
The spokesman said: “We have been dealing with a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle.”
The injured party is a 20-year-old male.
The man was taken to hospital.
Information about his condition has not been released.
The police spokesman said officers were appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A large cordon was put in place by police to allow accident investigators to carry out their work.
Cars were diverted onto Church Lane and Crosland Spring Road.
