Siewert’s bold changes paid off for Terriers

AFTER four successive defeats since arriving in Huddersfield and the misery of a demoralising defeat at Newcastle, Jan Siewert came up with a brave and bold selection for the clash with Wolves.

No respecter of reputations, he made eight changes to the starting line-up and also sent on three substitutes who, in their own ways, had a big impact towards the end.

It showed Siewert trusts in his own ability to assess players both in matches and in training, that the new man isn’t afraid of upsetting senior players if they are not producing the goods and that he has faith in young players despite the difficult situation the club are in.
