HUDDERSFIELD Town showed their pride again in the 1-0 win over Wolves.

They may be being written off as relegation certainties in pretty much every quarter, but there was an energy and purpose about their play which belied their lowly position in the Premier League table.

Steve Mounie’s stoppage-time goal at the end brought wild celebrations, with Jan Siewert achieving a first win as Town head coach.

Here are five things we learned from the match : HUDDERSFIELD Town boss Jan Siewert is still waiting for a full update on the hamstring injury suffered by Adama Diakhaby.

The flying French wingman was injured in training before the match at Newcastle United and missed making the starting line-up at both St James’ Park and the John Smith’s Stadium, where Town beat Wolves 1-0.

Siewert made eight changes to his starting line-up for Town’s first win in three months, handing a Premier League debut to Manchester City product Demeaco Duhaney.

Unfortunately, the 20-year-old full back suffered a slight thigh injury and had to be taken off at halftime.

Dutch Under 21 international Juninho Bacuna took over at No2 for the second half and also caught the eye.

Siewert is now checking on the availability of Diakhaby (left) and Duhaney for the trip to the south coast this coming weekend.

Midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri is continuing his comeback from surgery to repair a broken collar bone, while Danny Williams and Isaac Mbenza are still sidelined by knee and calf injuries respectively.

Williams hasn’t played since the 1-0 defeat at Arsenal on December 8 because of ligament damage, while Mbenza was hurt in the heavy defeat at Chelsea, when he had to be withdrawn after 27 minutes.
