KIAN Harratt is a teenager who’s proving he knows where the net is for Huddersfield Town’s Academy.

The 16-year-old grabbed his 31st goal of the season when the Under-17s drew 2-2 with Lincoln City in the Youth Alliance League.

The Academy were back in action with two matches yesterday, but he didn’t score.

Dean Whitehead oversaw a match against Bradford City, which was played behind closed doors at City’s Apperley Bridge training ground and was won 2-1 by Town.

And Academy manager Leigh Bromby was in charge as a different side take on Catalyst Soccer Academy at PPG Canalside.

That match was open for Town fans to watch for free.

It was played over the back of the canal, behind the main PPG site, and Town staff were on hand to take supporters around to the pitch about 15 minutes before kick-off.

Against Lincoln, Town played a 3-4-3 formation and the goals came from Harratt and an own goal.

Harratt joined Town in July and this is his first season with the club.

A product of junior club Upton United, Harratt has been part of the Academy set-ups at

Barnsley and Leeds United before arriving at PPG

Canalside.

He played on trial for Town last season, making four appearances with the Under-18 side.

Harratt told htafc.com earlier in the season: “It’s brilliant, I’ve really enjoyed it so far.

“I was with Barnsley from being 10 years old until this summer, so it’s been a big change for me, but I really like the coaching here.

“I really like working with

Leigh Bromby and I like the group of lads we have here too.” HUDDERSFIELD Town defender Terence Kongolo has admitted has to learn after the Terriers lost to a late Brighton goal on Saturday.

The Dutchman, 25, was picked to partner Christopher Schindler at centre-back for the second game running and the pair managed to keep the Seagulls out for almost 80 minutes.

But a lapse in concentration by the Town defence allowed Brighton to take a quick free-kick and striker Florin Andone to sneak in for a free header on the six yard line.
