Jan’s battling injury crisis for Hammers

-

Laurent Depoitre, Demeaco Duhaney, Adama Diakhaby, Isaac Mbenza, Erik Durm and Danny Williams have all been ruled out with various fitness problems.

Siewert joked: “It’s easier to talk about the players who were at the training ground, who were on the pitch.

“Unfortunately there

[injured] at the moment.

“Still Adama, Isaac are missing. We have DD still missing, Lolo is missing and we have Hoggy who is missing so it’s a big impact of course.

“TK had problems still so we have to look at them and also Erik Durm had yesterday a small, small problem, I hope. So he couldn’t train today but maybe tomorrow. Who else? Danny Williams still. “We had 15 who were healthy on the pitch today and West Ham has a very big squad.”

It is hoped that Hogg, who was substituted with a rib injury during the 1-0 loss to Brighton two weeks ago, will be back after the upcoming international break.

Siewert explained: “I think it is definitely until after the international break so maybe two or three more weeks so it depends on his rib.

“It’s not fractured but there is a big hit, it made a big impact on it.”

Likewise, Kongolo will be fit after the break and could even train today, though he will not be ready for the West Ham match.

The latest casualty is Durm, who pulled up at the end of training on Wednesday.

Siewert said: “It’s a small muscle problem in the thigh area.

“A small problem but we will see.

“He fell at the end of the training session so we took care of him and tomorrow he could be in hopefully but we will see how it is.”
