Anderson: We will be better

- By SAM INKERSOLE

FELIPE Anderson believes West Ham will improve from last weekend’s poor defeat at Cardiff City when they take on Huddersfield Town today.

The Brazilian striker was taken off at half-time in Wales as the Hammers slumped to 2-0 defeat to the Premier League strugglers and extended West Ham’s winless run away from home to seven games.

Anderson and his team-mates will have home comforts today, where they have been a lot better in 2019, as the Terriers head to the capital for the last game before the international break.

West Ham have a fortnight off after the game against Jan Siewert’s men and Anderson has insisted the players will put in a much improved display compared to what the travelling supporters were put through at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The 25-year-old said: “The Cardiff defeat was a very hard match for us.

“But we have the players in the team that know what to do in these times, and who know how to pick up the team’s spirits. I know that we’re going to respond, give our best and get three points.

“We’re training very hard and we are very happy that we have managed to get very positive results at home recently.

“I think we’re going to improve because we will be playing at home, in front of our fans.”

The Hammers are unbeaten in their last six games at the London Stadium.
