A CARE company founded just 18 months ago now employs 60 people and delivers more than 4,000 hours of home care every month.

The Care Collection was set up by Catherine Haigh, of Honley, drawing on her 25 years’ experience in the care industry.

She has made it her mission to raise the standards of home care for the people of Kirklees.

The Care Collection has experienced impressive growth since 2017 and now supports over 80 clients of all ages who benefit from calls of at least an hour long.

A recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission saw the company rated “Good” in all five keys areas – safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness and leadership.

In 2018 The Care Collection was recognised as one of the top 20 home care providers in Yorkshire and the Humber.

As a result, the company has announced it will be creating another 40 care jobs during 2019.

Commenting on the company’s plans for 2019 and beyond, Catherine said: “We are delighted with how the service has grown and the positive feedback that has been received, which is testament to our team.

“We continue to see increased demand for home care as more people choose to remain living independently in their own homes.

“To meet this demand, we will be recruiting around 40 home care assistants during 2019. However, we will grow in a sustainable way to ensure that we continue to provide a high-quality home care service.

“This means only employing people with a caring nature and a professional, positive attitude.

“We believe that for our staff to provide a truly special service, we need to look after their well-being and invest in them.
