FOR POOR START

CANNOT BLAME INJURIES

-

Giants is the most important thing to take from the match.

“From now until the end of the season every game is a big game, that’s how we need to treat it,” he said.

“Hull KR are not to be underestimated, they have some great players there.

“They are really good with the ball, with some dangerous players, and we need to keep an eye on that. We know we are in for a massive game.

“I don’t care who we are playing at the minute, I just want to win and get some points, and the boys are the same.

“At the start of the season we set ourselves some goals to be a lot higher than we are now. It is something that is easy to fix, but we need to put it into action.

“It needs a couple of good performances from individuals to raise the bar and make sure everyone reaches the right standard.

“I feel as though we have players coming into form who may have had a disrupted pre-season. Lee Gaskell, for instance, is such an important player for us and over the next few weeks that will be good for us.”

And Turner says he is happy with his own form.

He said: “I wasn’t happy with my game against Salford in round one, I thought I was quite poor. But since then I think I have steadily got my form up and played quite well against St Helens.

“I am at the point of my career now where every time I go on to the field I am there to enjoy it. I don’t take a backward step and I don’t doubt myself.”
