Sports fans’ head start for big gig tickets
TOWN AND GIANTS SEASON TICKET HOLDERS GET PRIORITY
TICKETS for next year’s huge Hella Mega concert at the John Smith’s Stadium will be in high demand when they go on general sale on Friday.
Some fans, who signed up to the mailing lists of Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer, have already managed to get their hands on tickets.
But it is not just supporters of the bands who have been granted early access.
Season ticket holders with football club Huddersfield Town and rugby league side Huddersfield Giants have also been given a head start on everyone else.
The two clubs, both based at the John Smith’s Stadium, emailed their respective season ticket holders yesterday to give them the good news.
Supporters are given an access code that lets them buy up to four Hella Mega tickets per person, from 10am today (Wed) until 5pm on Thursday.
The early access has been negotiated by Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd (KSDL), who are responsible for running the stadium and bringing concerts like Little Mix, Take That and next year’s Hella Mega tour to Huddersfield.
KSDL managing director Gareth Davies said: “We’ve not been able to do it previously but due to building a relationship with the promoter we have been able to negotiate it this time.
“Current season ticket holders with the clubs will be able to buy their tickets in this priority window and avoid the rush on Friday.” *On like for like quotes. **9 colour options available - upgrade is from White Smooth.
