HUDDERSFIELD Town Foundation is hoping to feed even more hungry children thanks to the proceeds from a charity ball.

The Foundation, which delivers community initiatives across Kirklees, runs more than 40 breakfast clubs to ensure all children get a healthy start to the day.

They provide more than 445,000 breakfasts each year.

Their Foundation Ball, which is supported by Pure Business Group, will be held at The Woodman Inn at Thunderbridge on Friday, September 27.

All funds raised at the event will stay within our local community to benefit young people and to continue successfully operating and providing breakfast to hundreds of young children throughout Kirklees.

The Foundation relies upon donations and it costs £140,000 a year to run the breakfast clubs.

Club chairman Phil Hodgkinson and director Dean Hoyle will be at the event and guests will be treated to a three-course meal, entertainment, games and auctions with top prizes from Town players.

Tickets can be bought for £100 per person or you can contact the Foundation regarding packages.

Lisa Bottomley, fundraising coordinator for the Foundation, said: “Everyone at the Town Foundation is excited to deliver this event.

“There has been strong support for previous events, such as the Big Sleep Out and the Foundation games, and the ball presents the next step in ensuring that along with Huddersfield Town, we continue to have an impact on those in our community who are in need of support. The funds raised at The Huddersfield Town Foundation Ball will specifically contribute to keep the Trust Fund’s Early KickOff breakfast clubs successfully operating.

“We can’t wait for the Foundation Ball, which will certainly be an amazing evening for everyone involved.”
