Cowley: Baggies have weak points

- By BEN ABISS @examinerHTAFC

TOWN boss Danny Cowley has pinpointed where his side can hurt West Brom on their visit to the Hawthorns tomorrow.

The two teams meet in the Championship’s early kick-off, with Town second-bottom and the Baggies unbeaten promotion contenders.

The Terriers manager admitted the clash would be tough going as he picked apart his opponent’s attacking qualities.

“We’re pretty clear on how they play,” he said. “We understand where their strengths are.

“They’ve certainly got a very good front four with all different qualities. The two wides in the front four are a real threat, especially in open space.

“Pereira, the 10, can find the half spaces and if you allow him to receive the ball behind your midfield and front face he has the ability to play through.

“They’ve obviously got Zohore and Charlie Austin who carry a goal threat.”

Cowley appeared quietly confident that he and his staff have identified areas of weakness for West Brom as well.

But while he was happy to comprehensively analyse his opponent’s strengths, he was less willing to reveal his hand when it

came to how he planned to hurt Slaven Bilic’s side.

Cowley said: “So we understand where their strengths are, but like all teams they have moments of weakness. “They’re a very good team so they have less moments of weakness than others, but certainly we know where those moments of weakness are and for us it will be about trying to find a way to win away from home.”
