HUDDERSFIELD look to claim the first win of their season against Fylde in a war of the roses tomorrow.

After three games, Field sit second from the bottom of National League 2 North with two draws and a defeat, although all their games have included positive and clinical play from Gareth Lewis’ men.

They visit Fylde, who are third with two wins and a draw, and have proved to be an attacking threat so far this season.

The Lancashire side have mustered 108 points, the highest of any team in the league so far.

However, Huddersfield head coach Lewis believes his team can cause an upset.

“They’ve had a good start and I believe they will be up there at the end of the season,” he said.

“Clearly this puts us as underdogs.”

Fylde’s attacking threat appears to come in the form of their pacey wingers. Last week Tom Grimes scored two tries, while Connor Wilkinson, who scored a spectacular try after a 40m sprint, will be another name to look out for.

After a slow start to the campaign, Lewis believes his team have more to prove.

He said: “In rugby circles many people have written us off, however, with a 10 per cent improvement I believe we can cause problems for anyone in the league”.
