Will of the people being thwarted by Parliament

-

What a waste of space the rubbish collectors are. Can’t even walk two paces extra to get a bin, or put it back where it belongs. I HAVE heard allegations that Boris Johnson lied to the Queen and committed an illegal act, when he told her that prorogation of parliament was lawful.

The legal advice that was given to him by three high court judges and the Attorney General assured him that it was. There were also historic precedents for this executive device.

So he did not lie to the Queen. At that point in time it was lawful. Only when the Supreme Court disagreed did it become unlawful, because they found insufficient justification. Therefore prorogation became void.

After three years of parliamentary bickering in an effort to reverse the referendum result, it seems the Supreme Court failed to see the bigger picture.

The Prime Minister did not commit an illegal act either, because that would be a criminal act, and no crime had been committed.

The Supreme Court may be the highest court in the land, but it is not the supreme power. The supreme power lies with the will of the people and that has been thwarted by Parliament.

If Parliament was brought attacks that the media has before the Supreme Court with reported some of you receiving. the charge of ‘betrayal of the will This is shocking and unacceptaof the people’, I wonder whatble. they would make of that? Having recognised that I must say how disappointed I am in your collective conduct in Parliament.

After winning a notable victory earlier in the week you collectively chose high emotion, and in the case of Mr Sheerman blind rage, to guide your arguments rather than intellect and reason.

I’m afraid that bringing your colleague Jo Cox into the debate

Think about your constituents

THIS is a copy of a letter I have sent to the Kirklees MPs Paula Sherriff, Thelma Walker and Barry Sheerman.

I WOULD first like to say that I deplore any threats or personal was a deplorable low that no side emerged from with credit.

It was somewhat edifying to read that Ms Sherriff has since reflected on her own behaviour as part of the overall context of debate. However, it still embarrasses me – as the MPs representing Kirklees – that your contributions to the business of the house were emotional theatrics that made absolutely no difference to arresting the direction of travel or indeed holding the government to account regarding the state of negotiations... for Brexit.

One presumes the idea of returning to the house was to shift the dial on getting some sort of consensus that the nation can get behind and not make public applications for your equity cards?

Can I implore you all to think about the importance of what this country is facing, your contributions to the most important debate we will have for generations and most importantly how to represent the diversity of opinions of your constituents
