Players table their interest in leagues

FILEDOC Ltd have agreed to continue their sponsorshi­p of the Huddersfie­ld Table Tennis League for this coming season.

More than 140 players have registered for this season’s competitio­n, which again will be made up of three divisions with 11, 11 and 10 teams respective­ly.

Bradford Road-based Gail’s Travel Shop have also agreed to continue their sponsorshi­p of the Senior British League team.

This season they will play all their matches at Ormesby Table Tennis Centre and compete in National League C2.

Jonathan Heslop, Cameran Sandhu, Marcus Batkin and Robert Sandiford had a good start to this season’s campaign, winning three of their opening four matches.

■HUDDERSFIE­LD will field four teams in the Yorkshire Veterans League.

In Division One, Huddersfie­ld No 1 will be joined by the No 2 team who gained promotion from the Second Division last season.

Following on from the success last season the No 3 team will occupy a place in Division Two with a fourth team joining Division Three.
