Can you Belieb it?
FEATURING a subterranean level, Steppingstone wouldn’t look out of place on a James Bond set, although it’s more likely to be the hi-tech base for one of 007’s nemeses than the man himself. But there’s no denying that this property in Frodsham, Cheshire, which boasts keyless doors and fingerprint recognition technology, would be a gadget lover’s dream home.
It already has A-list credentials – pop superstar Justin Bieber used it as his hideaway base for north of England dates when he was touring the UK in 2016.
Now, instead of renting it for a reported £17,000 per month, one very lucky person can own the futuristic six-bedroom house because it’s been listed for sale for £3.95million.
And a glance at its assets reveals just why Bieber believed it was his perfect home away from home, thanks to indoor and outdoor five-a-side football pitches, a zip wire, sports bar and its own helipad.
Located on the slopes of Helsby
Hill, the four-storey house is accessed via sliding electronic gates (of course) and sits in around two acres of grounds.
Steppingstone was commissioned by the current owner as a discreet and unique family home, combining bold modern architecture with a stunning natural location.
At ground level, there is a large open-plan entertainment space divided by partitions into a series of sections each with their own individual style. They include relaxed and more formal sitting areas, a dining room, kitchen and music area.
A staircase leads below ground to a leisure section with sports bar overlooking an indoor hall used for cricket, badminton and football.
There is also an indoor pool with sauna/steam room, hot tub, changing rooms and gym.
A family area is situated in the tower and set over the first and second floors. A master suite with en-suite bathroom is on the second floor, with two further bedrooms on the first floor. A self-contained apartment on the lower ground floor has independent access and opens onto a central belowground courtyard.
