As Cowley provides good news
first back-to-back wins since February 2018.
Cowley said: “We were certainly pleased with the week that we had that preceded the international break.
“To get seven out of nine points was a positive outcome for us.
“I thought we managed to pick those points up in all different way, which is a positive in itself: we had play at left-back and left centrehalf where he gives you natural balance.
“You always want competition in every area and certainly bringing someone back of Terence’s experience and quality is only going to be of benefit for the team.”
In another boost for Town, playmaker Alex Pritchard is also available. to really grit it out with a really determined performance at Stoke, and then earned the right to be a bit more free-flowing in the Hull game.
“So we were pleased that we were able to take points in different ways, but at the same time we are respectful of this league and where we’ve come from, and we still understand that there’s a lot more work to be done.”
Cowley said: ”We played [a behind closed doors friendly] on the Friday last week and managed to win 2-0, which was good.
“Pritch played the first half and looked bright. He’s technically an outstanding player and will definitely add to this group. He definitely gives us different options in terms of formation and he’s a different style of player in that position. It’s a real positive that he’s been back on the grass and he’s had another really good week this week, so we’re in a position that he’s available come Saturday.”
However, Cowley confirmed that striker Collin Quaner is unavailable to face Rovers tomorrow.
”Collin had an operation in Germany. That was very successful and he’s now well on his way back in terms of his rehabilitation.”
