THE Championship fixture list is piling up once again, Huddersfield Town manager Danny Cowley insists preparation should not be an issue for his players when Middlesbrough come to the John Smith’s Stadium tonight.

Town are favourites for the game after claiming eight points in their last four matches, in stark contrast to Boro’s current run of just one point from their last five games.

But Cowley insists his side cannot afford to be complacent and has detailed the various tactical and personnel threats they may carry.

He said: “I think we will find a team who are transitioning between two different managers and two different styles, different ways.

“Tony Pulis has been an incredibly successful manager for an awful long time and anyone who has stood the test of time in football certainly deserves my respect and gets it.

“Jonathan Woodgate was an outstanding player and has just picked up this Middlesbrough group and he is trying to find the best way of playing with that group.

“They have played quite a lot this season in a 4-3-3, they changed once to a back three against Cardiff and then did it again on Saturday against West Brom - changing to a back five with a diamond and one, which is a unique formation you don’t come up against every week.

“So I think we have to be prepared for that if it happens again but, like I said, if you look at the recent games, Middlesbrough have changed their system and changed their personnel - so they are trying to find the best way to be successful.”
