“There are still improvements and strides to be made to get to where we want to get to. I think in a few more weeks we would have won that game a bit more comfortably. As I say it’s a process but we are moving in the right direction.
“I think in this period we have had a few games like that where we have had to have our backs against the walls at times. People coming off of the bench and contributing as well, which is a real squad effort.
“The manager made some changes before the game and everyone stood up.”

TOWN boss Danny Cowley has revealed two teenage prospects who are impressing in training with the firstteam squad.
Striker Kian Harratt and midfielder Josh Austerfield have been catching the eye of the Championship boss.
“They have trained with us and played in the Chesterfield game and they are really talented kids,” explained Cowley, with reference to the friendly Town played during the international break.
“The pair of them are really exciting. “Nicky and I sat down with Kian and Josh and showed them some clips of things that we liked and maybe some add-ons we could help them with.
“We want people to know just how exciting they are, so the future is good – there is no doubt about that.
“To have three Academy players in the first-team currently is huge for this football club going forward.
“Hopefully people will start to see this is a breeding ground for young professional footballers – and that there is a pathway here.
“We know there are outstanding footballers in Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield areas that we want to attract and, at the moment, they go to the Cat 1 clubs and the big Premier League clubs, but we want to attract them here to Town.
“We want them to understand the fantastic facilities we have here, the fantastic coaches we have, and the realistic pathway we feel we can offer to get into the first team.
“That’s what we are working towards, because it will help allow us to achieve the sustainable success we all crave.”
