What TV programmes do leave voters watch?

-

I WONDER which TV channels our leave cultists watch? Certainly not any of the ones my TV picks up.

Is it a matter of interpretation? Perhaps leavers want them to lie. You know the sort of thing: The Turks are coming; £350m; the EU is a dictatorship; they will force your kids into their army.

You see I would like the BBC and ITV etc. to tell the truth for a change.

Mention the projects that the EU funds, talk about how we can move freely between countries, how most of our trade is with the EU.

How we can and always have been able to make our own laws. How things in the EU are frankly, perfectly fine.

It’s a long list, I will stop there. sels once again for the annual request from the EU for a Brexit extension. No-one remembers how this tradition began but it has become a minor tourist attraction.

The remainoids got the Benn -surrender-Bill through the Commons in seconds flat and yet three days is deemed far too little to examine a document that has been pored over, scrutinised and minutely examined in its former incarnation as Theresa May’s WA for the past Godknows how long.

The pathetic blageuers have no idea how low they have sunk in the opinions of the electorate.

The outcome of the election may well be something of an eye-opener for the fat-headed fustilarians who are in urgent need of a traditional East End dry slap. porting the vote of his constituents, if he cannot do as we ask he should simply resign.

Looking for details of long-gone school

I AM researching St Patrick’s school which was in Darley street, Heckmondwike.

It was built in 1872 and closed in 1968. I would like any information readers may have and also photos which I could use.

Until 1914 the school was also used as a place of worship for the Catholic community and mass, baptism and weddings would have been held there.

October 18).

Councillor Peter McBride states that the works could take 39 weeks but it will be a very difficult 18 / 24 months.

Which figure do we believe? If this is how Kirklees works out its budget, there’s little wonder we are in such a state.

Killing for sport causes untold pain

AN American sportsman was last week reportedly killed by a deer he had shot and assumed to be dead.

Apparently he had ignored standard advice not to approach a ‘dead’ animal for at least half an hour. What callous cruelty this implies!

All sorts of spurious arguments are put up to try to justify shocking cruelty. Being shot means dreadful, often prolonged pain.

The unfeeling, psychopathic disregard of such pain is a very sad reflection on all those who kill for sport and all of us who turn a blind eye to it.
