Terriers fans wish Mooy all the best

TOWN fans have been reacting to news that Aaron Mooy’s loan deal to Brighton is now a permanent transfer.

Mooy, who signed a new threeyear Town contract ahead of his switch to the Amex earlier this season, has joined the Premier League club for an undisclosed fee.

The deal marks the end of a remarkable spell for the Australian at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Outstanding in Town’s promotion season to the Premier League, and then again in helping the club survive under David Wagner, the World Cup performer and former Town Player of the Year moves on to a three-and-a-half year deal in the top flight.

Town fans have been reacting to the news:

It was an absolute privilege to watch Aaron Mooy wear the blue and white of Huddersfield Town. I wish him nothing but the best for the rest of his career. A true class act.

■■It is the buying club’s decision to decide whether they disclose the fee. So in this case Brighton decided whether they disclosed the Mooy fee.

Gutted to lose a player of his quality but it’s understandable and he has already shown this season why he is a Premier League player. ■■The best I’ve seen in a Town shirt. Goodbye sweet prince. And to think Brighton fans were slagging him off when they loaned him.

■■Aaron Mooy is without doubt the best player I’ve seen in a Town shirt. He was immense for us and I don’t begrudge him a permanent move away. He gave us some great memories, and was a model pro. Good luck.

■■Best of luck, thanks for everything.

■■Just some thoughts on the Mooy deal and it’s reported £5m value. That may be the release clause but Brighton will have also paid his roughly £2.5m annual wage and paid a loan fee which you would expect to be in excess of £1m for the season. ■■Joy to watch, sheer class, total professional. Thanks for everything you did for Town.
