Online boost for caravan booking firm

HUDDERSFIELD-BASED UKcaravans4hire.com has increased its year-on-year turnover by 40%, after the launch of its online booking platform in 2019.

The booking platform, the only one of its kind in the UK to list static caravans for hire across the UK, has a similar function to sites such as Airbnb where guests can search for listings in a specific area, view available dates, and book online.

Since the launch of the booking platform listings on the site have increased by 12% this year, whilst average booking values have increased by 15%.

Established in 2009 by businessman Gareth Irving, the site has recently undergone significant development to allow holidaymakers to book and pay directly through the site, rather than arranging the stay and payment with the caravan owners directly, as the site previously operated.

The new booking platform gives peace of mind to both holiday-goers and caravan owners.

The increase in turnover figures can be attributed to the rise in popularity in “staycations” due to environmental concerns and families looking to save on spending abroad due to Brexit fears.

Perceptions around static caravan stays are now also changing, as highend luxury lodges on sites with stateof-the-art facilities become more and more popular.

The business has ambitious growth plans, which will be supported by the addition of two new members of staff joining the organisation in Q1 2020 and a marketing drive to further roll out the new booking platform, with the aim of increasing its listings by 20% this year.

Managing director Gareth said: “We are at a really exciting time in business as we look to take the platform to a new level in 2020.

“Response to the new booking platform has been phenomenal and we have experienced the best January on record as guests look to book their annual holiday.

“We’re very much looking forward to expanding the team and ensuring that UKcaravans4hire.com reaches its potential.”

RIGHOUSE agency, Faith PR, has been appointed to raise the profile of global executive headhunting agency, Red Diamond Executive.

Faith PR will handle the media relations for the global search firm, which operates out of Huddersfield and the United Arab Emirates, to position it as a leader in the industry.

The firm specialises in placing business leaders and senior management across the UK and Middle East, with particular expertise in the aerospace, construction and manufacturing sectors.

Alongside managing regional, national and trade PR activity, Faith PR will provide content marketing services and social media consultancy to drive awareness, educate the market and generate leads for the firm.

Commenting on the appointment, managing director Emma Robinson, who co-founded Red Diamond with her partner Simon Robinson in 2011, said: “We’re delighted to be working with an agency local to us but able to deliver across multiple communications channels.

“We want to raise our profile outside of our immediate industry and believe Faith PR will do a great job of helping us to achieve this as the business continues on its yearon-year growth trajectory.”

Director of Faith PR, Stefanie Hopkins, added: “Red Diamond Executive has an impressive track record of working with blue chip companies and their leaders on an international scale.

“We’re looking forward to highlighting the firm’s successes and helping enhance its brand awareness to reflect the excellent work it does.”
