Sanitising hands pointless if no one else does it!

-

They are too ashamed to publish the findings of social workers and police officers completely failing and ignoring these girls! And the fact that not one officer, not one social worker and not one parent was charged with neglect where there was concerns being reported and ignored!! And not one school held accountable! Countless statements in there stating teachers saw this or teachers saw that! But did nothing to stop it! An absolute joke!!! Again passing the buck!!

THE Government’s recommendation that we sanitise our hands as often as possible in an attempt to contain the coronavirus is all well and good, but most men rarely wash their hands after using pub toilets.

Toilet doors should open outwards, needing a simple push with the elbow. If the last hand on the handle hasn’t been washed, then there’s little point in washing yours!

I’ve been in some pubs that don’t have a hand dryer, just a towel.

For this reason, I would never eat open food, crisps or peanuts placed on the bar and I’m also wary of buffets.

There are some more farsighted pubs which have a “chicane” instead of a door on the toilets. Kirklees Council (Examiner, March 3).

I have been proud to live in this town for 40 years and have witnessed its sad decline, which appears to have accelerated over the past 10 years.

It is clearly apparent that nobody in Kirklees is a decision maker who cares enough about the town to cut through the shambles and take action. It is all talk and I fear, sadly, the decline is now irreversible.

May I suggest that if Priti Patel is “pensioned off” by the Government,

that Kirklees offer her a job. She may at least ruffle a few feathers.

Town’s loan signing an act of genius

ANYONE interested in football must see this boy.

The loan signing of Emile Smith Rowe was a stroke of genius by someone at Huddersfield Town!

He is the best young attacking player I can remember seeing in 60 years plus of watching football.

Touch, pace, vision, bravery and unselfishness is rarely seen in one player.

We are very lucky to have him and I look forward to seeing his talented contribution for the rest of the season.

ESR superstar!

Council is spending cash it doesn’t have!

KIRKLEES Council claims there is no money and that the Tory Government cut its funding resulting in services being cut.

Why, then, is it paying wages to certain people who are union reps to work full time on union business?

Surely the union should be paying the wages and not the ratepayers of Kirklees?

No doubt there will be no response from Kirklees in case it upsets the union.
