Ryan runs out of luck on loan spell at Livingston

sionalism .........................................

AN enforcer in midfield and an established Terrier, he’s one of those players you can rely on when the chips are down. Now more time to recover from his knee injury .........

GIVEN this is his first senior season for Town after a loan at Bradford City, the 22-year-old has been sensational. No-one knew what to expect, but he has delivered in spades ..............................................

HAS divided opinion among fans at times, he has produced his best of late and showing why Chelsea rate him so highly ..............................

INJURY has hampered his campaign and he’s not had much opportunity to show the quality Danny Cowley knows he has ........

A CENTRAL midfielder who offers much for the future and scored a valuable first senior goal for the club at Charlton. A real talent in the same bracket as Edmonds-Green and a shame Town couldn’t get him out on loan ..................................

ON loan from Arsenal and has provided real attacking threat for Town from the No.10 position. He will fly back at the Emirates next season ..........................................

FINISHED the Premier League season well and was one to watch this term, but it didn’t really happen for him until his super-sub days. So much to offer and more to come ............................................

AMONG the best Town signings of all time, played just the opening game before leaving for Brighton . .....................................

BROUGHT in from Leicester City for his experience, it’s his influence around the club, which is just as important as his contribution on the pitch ......................................

JUST starting to show glimpses of the quality which made him an Arsenal starlet before moving to Benfica. More to come, for sure, now he’s fit ..................................

REALLY hasn’t lived up to any sort of expectations and made it clear he wanted to move on...

DONE a job in difficult times on the right of the midfield, but he hasn’t been able to make the most of chances he’s been on the end of ...........................................

MUCH the same as Diakhaby, just hasn’t done it in the Championship battle ground ..................................

ENJOYING his time with Rotherham, stepped up from the National League and had to be patient for a chance. Learning and one to keep an eye on .....................................

YES, you’d forgotten him, hadn’t you? But he actually played five times this season before the arrival of Danny Cowley ............................

HAS led the goalscoring charts all season and, without his goals, Town would be in deep, deep trouble. Looks a shoo-in on the left – if Town can keep hold of him .....................

HE’S one of our own and a real worker up front, although he would have liked more goals. His experience, however, has been a boon and he never lets defenders relax .................................................

COULDN’T force his way into the team early season but has hit goalscoring form to help Town stay out of the relegation placings ...................................................

INJURY has restricted him to just two appearances, although he has lifted the squad with his positivity while recovering from hip surgery . ..................................

RYAN Schofield has been hugely unlucky during his spell at Livingston.

Brought in with the intention that he would be their firstchoice goalkeeper for the rest of the season, the Town loanee picked up a thigh injury in a winter break friendly.

That forced Livingston to bring in Rangers’ Robby McCrorie on another loan deal.

McCrorie impressed enough that he became their number one instead of Schofield, who has been limited to just three competitive outings.

But the 20-year-old has offered a magnanimous assessment of his time at Livingston, telling Town’s official website: “It’s been good to get a couple of games under my belt and when I look at it, I’ve probably got more games under my belt at Livingston than I would have at Huddersfield.”

With McCrorie ineligible to face his former club, Schofield’s sole Premiership outing came at

Ibrox in mid-February as Schofield made a string of excellent stops to keep Livingston in the game, only to be finally beaten by former Town man Scott Arfield.

The keeper said: “Playing in front of 40-50,000 people is what you want to do and it’s one of the experiences that I came up here for.

“I think the performance that I put in was enough to put my name out there and back in the equation with the manager.

“They said that I had done, but unfortunately they chose to play Robby, and I can’t influence their decision, I can only play as I did.

“I’ve had to wrap my head around that and just keep training and doing the best that I can in training.”
