CELEBRATE OUR NATION’S LOCKDOWN DOGS

«

Even though my elderly Border Terrier dog Finn nearly died before Christmas 2019, he’s rallied round. He’s diabetic, blind in one eye and may have Cushing’s Disease.

He’s kept me good company through lockdown and alerts me to the Postman or couriers for deliveries. He practically talks to us and is great company and a real character. He will be 13 in December 2020,

Rudi the Staffordshire Bull Terrier’s owner said: “My Rudi has been the perfect lockdown buddy. I have had to work from home due to Covid-19 and she made sure to keep me company every single day when usually I’m surrounded by my colleagues. I think I know which i prefer. “

Kuma the Shiba Inu’s owner said: “Before lockdown, my husband and I both worked full time and he would be placed in a pen for the day with me coming home to walk him on a lunchtime. With us being at home more and having the extra time with him we’ve been able to work on his training and he’s picked up lots of new tricks!

Before he could only do sit, down and paw but now he can spin, twist, beg, weave inbetween my legs and lots more! He’s also kept us sane in this period and we’ve really enjoyed being able to take him on longer more exciting walks and let him explore more of the world. We’re going to hire an agility course soon and can’t wait for all the fun that will bring!”
