Ex-Town favourite Chris at a real Lowe in Germany

-

FORMER Town favourite Chris Lowe went into meltdown as he launched an emotional outburst on German TV.

The 31-year-old left-back - who was a Premier League star with the Terriers and made 99 appearances at the John Smith’s Stadium - was visibly upset as he spoke about the relegation problems of Dynamo Dresden following their latest defeat to Holstein Kiel.

The result leaves Dynamo three points adrift at the bottom of the Bundesliga 2 table and heading for relegation.

After leaving Town last summer, Lowe has made 21 appearances for the club, who lost their latest game 2-0.

Lowe was interviewed on German Sky TV afterwards and couldn’t control his anger or his emotions over the club’s situation - even crying at one stage as he targeted the league hierarchy for acute criticism.

The player moaned: “Do you believe that anyone in the DFL thought about what is going on inside our heads?

“They don’t give a s... about any of this. We are the ones who pay the price for all this s...”

■■UEFA has recommended that its member associations agree to close their summer transfer windows in unison on October 5.

The transfer registration period in a number of European countries, including England, has not yet opened because of the delay in finishing the season.

And with competitive seasons in Germany, Spain, Italy and England all expected to continue into the summer, clubs will now be given until the autumn to register their players.
