Recognising local champions

SYNGENTA is very proud to continue our support of the 2020 Examiner Community Awards.

The work we do at Syngenta helps farmers all over the world grow higher yields from their crops and we play a critical role in providing the food we need. Food security is more important than it ever has been in recent decades and our staff have worked above and beyond, to maintain the integrity of our food supply chain.

The Examiner Community Awards are a prestigious occasion to recognise the dedication and passion of our local champions and we are delighted that through creative and innovative working we are able to support the Examiner in bringing them to Kirklees in 2020.

For our part, we continue to invest in our apprenticeship programme, providing employment opportunities for local people and we remain committed to keeping professional and skilled manufacturing jobs in Kirklees for many years to come. We work very hard to stay in touch with our local community and get involved wherever we can. We provide opportunities for education in science, technology, engineering and maths subjects through school visits to our Community Science Lab and we are active in our community through our Connecting Communities events.

We congratulate Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust staff on receiving the 2020 Examiner Community Achievement Award and we extend our sincere thanks to NHS staff for being on the frontline during the coronavirus response.
